Topic: toilet heights

I am looking to replace an old toilet in a guest bath (small bathroom).  The current toilet is located beneath a counter which is 29 1/4" from the floor. The toilet itself is approximately 26" tall. Is there a comfort height/universal height/ADA compliant height toilet that is about 26" tall, so that it will fit under the counter?

If not, what toilet do you recommend for this space which will fit under the counter? The rough-in is 12" and the front of the toilet seat cannot be more than 30" from the wall (in order to avoid making contact with the shower door).

thanks!

Re: toilet heights

You can buy quality seat risers from a medical supply house at a great buy.  They have them in round or elongated (oval) risers.  They usually contain long bolts so you can put a real seat on top of the riser and bolt them to the toilet.

If there is a medical reason for the ADA compliant toilet you may want to consider other alternatives depending on the situation.
